The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a suicide prevention network of over 200+ crisis centers that provides 24/7 service via a toll-free hotline. It is available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. Your call will be answered by someone in local. 988lifeline.org for more info.
The 24/7 Farmer Wellness Helpline is available to provide free, confidential and immediate support any day, any time. Helpline representatives can also make referrals to Farmer Wellness Tele-Counseling Sessions or the Counseling Voucher Program for on-going, long-term support. ​Farmers and their family members can receive free, confidential and unlimited sessions from a licensed mental health professional online or by phone or vouchers to assist with the cost of in-person counseling services with participating mental health providers.

To seek help in times of mental health crisis, use the 1-800 phone line from 4:30 pm – 8:00 am and on weekends. Use the 608-355-4200 line from Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4: 30 pm.
State of Wisconsin farm resource center that helps farmers in need with in variety of areas from financial, business planning, to health and well-being. Free language assistance available upon request. TDD: 608-224-5058.
LivingWorks safeTALK is a four-hour face-to-face workshop. FAN has sponsored many SafeTALK sessions over the years. These workshops feature powerful presentations, audiovisuals, and skills practice. Learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, engaging someone, and connecting them to an intervention resource for further support. Watch FAN events page for sessions in our area.
The world's leading suicide intervention training program. Trusted by professionals yet learnable by anyone, LivingWorks Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day face-to-face workshop. Learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, providing a skilled intervention, and developing a safety plan to keep someone alive. Some FAN board members have completed this training. Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The training helps you identify, understand, and respond to signs of addictions and mental illnesses. Fan has sponsored some of these sessions. Watch the FAN Event page for offerings in our area.
