About Farmer Angel Network

Mission
At Farmer Angel Network, our mission is clear: All farmers will be resilient and have healthy, productive lives.

We are dedicated to building a supportive rural community where mental health is prioritized and farmers feel empowered to seek help through community events, resources, and education.
Vision
We envision a future where rural communities appreciate and celebrate agriculture through meaningful farmer-to-farmer connections, reducing the stigma around mental health and promoting overall well-being.
In the fall of 2018, the Sauk County community pulled together after a farmer died by suicide. During this challenging time, community members reached out to the family to comfort, support, and listen as they worked through the emotions that followed. As some community members chatted about the extreme sadness and feelings of helplessness surrounding the family and community, a farmer shared that they had also suffered from severe depression and battled many thoughts of suicide in the past. At this point, they realized a need to support the community and families in similar situations.
